Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use Pilot Night Calc at pilotnightcalc.allaitools.cloud (the "service"). The service is provided by 8200 RAN INTELLIGENCE S.R.L., Calea Dorobanților nr. 7, ap. 15, 400117 Cluj-Napoca, Romania; CUI 44564621; Nr. Reg. Com. J12/3259/2021 ("we"). Contact: office@ranintelligence.com. By using the service you accept these terms.

1. What the service does

You upload a logbook file in CSV format. The service calculates, for each flight, how much of the block time fell at night under the definition you choose, and returns your file with a night-time column added. The calculation uses the airport coordinates from public data, the block times in your file (read as UTC) and a standard astronomical model of the sun's position along the great-circle route.

2. For information only: not an official record

• The results are for information only. They are an estimate produced by an automated calculation. They are not a certified or authoritative record, and they are not intended to serve as, or to support, any official document, including a pilot logbook entry, a licence, rating or medical application, or any record or declaration you give to an aviation authority, operator, employer, insurer or court.
• Results depend on the data in your file and on assumptions: that the times are UTC block times, that the aircraft followed the great-circle route between the airports, the public airport coordinates we use, and the night definition you select. Real flights differ from these assumptions.
• You alone are responsible for how you use the results. Before relying on any figure, check it yourself against your own records and against the rules of your authority and operator.
• 8200 RAN INTELLIGENCE S.R.L. gives no warranty, express or implied, that the results are accurate, complete, up to date or fit for any particular purpose, and accepts no responsibility for any legal, regulatory, licensing, employment, financial or other consequence of using or relying on them.
• Pilot Night Calc is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any airline, operator or aviation authority.

3. Free version

• If your file covers more than 31 days, the free version calculates the latest calendar month in the file and leaves the other rows blank.
• Each visitor can calculate one file per week for free. We identify visitors with a cookie and a hashed IP address, as described in the Privacy Policy.
• The sun reference table (sunrise, sunset and twilight times for each airport and date in your file) is part of the full logbook and isn't included in the free version.
• We may change or end the free version at any time.

4. Full logbook: price and payment

• Calculating every date of one file costs a one-time $4.99 (USD) per file. The price shown at checkout is the final price you pay.
• Payment is processed by Stripe. One payment covers one file, identified by its exact content. You can recalculate that same file (for example with another night definition) up to 20 times within 30 days of payment. A changed file counts as a new file.
• No subscription, no automatic renewal.

5. Right of withdrawal and refunds

If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. The full calculation is digital content delivered immediately after payment. Before you pay, you ask us to start right away and confirm that you lose your right of withdrawal once the calculation is delivered. If the service fails to produce your result, or the result is wrong because of an error on our side, write to us within 30 days and we'll fix it or refund you. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

6. Coupons

Coupons may unlock the full calculation for free or at a discount. Unless the coupon says otherwise, each coupon unlocks one file, once: after that it can't be used for another file. You can still recalculate the file it unlocked (for example with another night definition) up to 20 times within 30 days, as with a paid file. Coupons are personal, can't be exchanged for cash, may have an end date, and may be withdrawn if they are misused or shared publicly.

7. Fair use

Don't upload files you have no right to use, files containing malware, or files built to disrupt the service. Don't use bots or scripts to submit files, get around the free limits or the human check, or overload the service. We may block access that breaks these rules.

8. Your data

Your file is processed in memory and not stored. See the Privacy Policy for everything we handle.

9. Availability and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We can't guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors.

To the fullest extent the law allows, 8200 RAN INTELLIGENCE S.R.L. is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service or its results, including any loss resulting from an incorrect figure in a logbook or other document, any regulatory, licensing or employment consequence, and any indirect or consequential loss. Where liability can't be excluded, our total liability for all claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the file concerned.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that can't be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the version in force when you use the service applies. These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your own country's courts. Consumers in Romania can also contact ANPC (anpc.ro).
